Jack Hutchinson, Director of Hutchinson
Builders, Australia’s largest privately owned construction company. A qualified
quantity surveyor and licenced builder, he holds an MBA from the London
Business School and a Bachelor of Property (QS & CM) from Bond University. Before
being appointed as a Director in 2022, Jack worked across various project and
operational roles within Hutchies, as well as within other property,
construction, and financial firms in both Australia and the United Kingdom.
Jen Williams, CEO of the Committee for Brisbane since
June 2024, leading the organisation’s advocacy, thought leadership and
commercial operations.
Prior to joining the Committee, Jen led the Queensland
Division of the Property Council of Australia. Over her 12-year tenure at the
Property Council, she progressed from Senior Policy Advisor, to Deputy
Executive Director, and was appointed as Executive Director in 2021.
Jen is a well-known face in Brisbane business,
not-for-profit and political circles, having formed many partnerships in the
pursuit of policy reform, including through public campaigns to address the
housing crisis and to increase post-pandemic visitation of the city centre.
Alongside her significant experience in policy, events and
engagement, Jen also has a background in secondary school education,
development and political advice. She holds a Master of Management
(International Business), Bachelor of Social Science and Bachelor of Education.
The Honourable Jarrod Bleijie MP, Deputy
Premier of Queensland, Minister for State Development, Infrastructure and
Planning, Minister for Industrial Relations, grew up on the Sunshine Coast and
was elected to the Queensland Parliament in 2009 at age 27. He serves
as Deputy Premier of Queensland, Minister for State Development, Infrastructure
and Planning, and Minister for Industrial Relations.
A former commercial lawyer, Jarrod
has previously held senior Cabinet roles including Attorney-General
and Minister for Justice. In that role he led major reforms
to the justice system.
He is also overseeing industrial relations productivity
reforms to deliver Queensland’s
largest ever infrastructure capital pipeline, including the
generational infrastructure for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games and
beyond.
He is spearheading major reforms to get the 2032
Games back on track after years of uncertainty, ensuring Queensland’s Olympic
and Paralympic venues are delivered on time and built to leave a lasting
legacy that Queenslanders can be proud of.
He currently chairs the Cabinet Housing Taskforce
and leads delivery of Queensland’s multibillion-dollar Residential
Activation Fund to unlock more housing
supply, while supporting planning reforms in partnership
with communities and councils.
Jarrod is also delivering the Crisafulli Government’s
flagship Sovereign Industry Development Fund, supporting projects that will
accelerate priority industry development in the key areas of
biofuels, biomedicine and defence industry.
His approach is grounded in strong partnerships, respect for taxpayers and getting things done.
Paul Spiro is a highly respected chairman, non‑executive
director and governance professional with more than 40 years’ experience
spanning law, economic development and the arts.
He is currently Chairman of the Brisbane Economic
Development Agency, where he leads the positioning of Brisbane as a competitive
national and international investment destination, including preparations
around Brisbane 2032. Paul also serves as a Councillor of the Queensland
Futures Institute and is a consultant at Green Mortgage Lawyers. In addition,
he is Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee for the Queensland Department of
Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business.
A recognised business leader and one of Queensland’s leading
experts in property law, Paul is known for his strategic leadership, commercial
negotiation skills and ability to facilitate complex stakeholder engagement
across government and the private sector. He is a passionate supporter of the
arts and has long contributed his expertise to cultural institutions and
initiatives. His contributions to business and the arts have been acknowledged
through several honours, including being named Brisbane City Council Corporate
Citizen of the Year in 2024 and receiving the Arts Law Centre of Australia’s
Arts Community Pro Bono Award in 2013.
Paul’s career includes senior leadership roles as Executive
Chairman and Managing Partner of Gadens in Brisbane, Adelaide and Manila, as
well as National Non‑Executive Chairman of Gadens. He has previously served as
Chairman of the Brisbane Festival and the Brisbane Institute, held roles with
Creative Partnerships Australia and the Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of
Modern Art Foundation, and represented the Attorney‑General on the Queensland
Law Society Council. Alongside his current portfolio of board and committee
appointments across government, statutory authorities and the arts sector, Paul
continues to make a significant contribution to Queensland’s economic, legal
and cultural landscape.
